Transaction Costing Report

This report prints details of the cost of inventory transactions. You can print the report for all transaction types or selected types.

Header Details

• Report process date and time
• Posting start and end dates, entered in the report parameters
• Page number

Line Details

For each unique inventory item/location combination (in the selected tree), one line prints for each transaction for it, including this detail:

• Item code
• Item description
• Unit of measure
• Location
• Posting date
• Transaction type
• Transaction reference
• Batch number
• Quantity
• Unit cost
• Transaction cost

You can sort the report output by posting date or entry time stamp.

Tree

Select the transaction tree. You can also select the branches of the tree on which to report.

Sorted by

Select the method by which to sort the entries in the report.

Exclude zero quantity on hand and no transactions

Select this option to remove items that are not available or for which there are no transactions.

Print summary by transaction types

Select this option to print a summary at the end of the report, which displays the grand total cost of transactions for each transaction type, in the specified date range. If the option to Print summary only is also selected, the transaction type summary is the only thing that prints on the report.

IN Transaction Type

Select the transaction types to include in the report. By default, the report includes all transactions. You can select a subset of transactions to further filter the report.

Note: Transactions with an asterisk beside them do not affect the closing balance of the item.

Inventory Code

Enter the range of inventory codes for items to include in the report. Leaving the From field empty and entering zzz in the To field includes all inventory codes in the report.

Location

Enter the range of locations to include in the report. Leaving the From field empty and entering zzz in the To field includes all locations in the report.

Posting Date

Enter the range of posting dates to include in the report.
