Change Serial/Lot Number

If you select the Inventory Module Control option Serial/lot number is unique, and there are already duplicate serial/lot numbers in Greentree, use this form to renumber them. Duplicates are identified by running the system script named Check for duplicated serial/lot numbers.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Item code

Select the serial/lot item for which you are changing a serial/lot number.

Description

The default value is the description of the selected item, or it can be used to search for the item.

Serial/Lot

This field displays a dropdown list of existing serial/lot numbers for the selected item. Select the number to change.

New number

Enter the new number for the selected serial/lot number. This must be formatted using the format and length parameters assigned on the Inventory Item Maintenance form for the selected item.

Click Change to update all details of the old item/serial/lot number combination to the new item or serial/lot number combination.
