FTP Transfers

This function either gets files from a remote system to the server on which Greentree Desktop resides, or sends files from a directory on the server to a remote one. You can define tasks that get files from your trading partners' FTP sites. You can define tasks that create Hot Directories on your server so that files placed in them are sent to your trading partners.

For example, you can set up a transfer task that fetches purchase orders from a customer's FTP site and copies them to an inbox directory on the Greentree server. Greentree Desktop can process the files using a profile that reads the directory and updates the database.
