File Copy

This function copies files from one directory to another. You can define tasks that copy incoming files to a directory on the server on which Greentree Desktop resides, ready for processing under a profile. You can define tasks that copy outgoing files from the directory in which Greentree Desktop generates in a remote location.

You can — for example, set up a File Copy task that fetches purchase orders from a subsidiary's outgoing invoices directory and copies them to an inbox directory on the server. These files could then be processed under a Profile that reads the directory and updates a database.

The source and destination directories must be accessible to Greentree Desktop.
