Sub Items Tab
A Product can consist of none, one, or several sub-items. A Product that is built from multiple sub-items is called a Kitset.
Use this tab to relate sub-items to Products. This information is captured per sub item:
- Cost related: Cost, Price, Profit Margin, Discount
- Number of sub items included in Product
- General ledger account
When you select the Save Line button, this sub-item is added to the table of sub-items located at the bottom of the Product Maintenance form.
Note: Products that are available for orders must have sub items.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Line Type
You can select these line item types as sub-items of the CRM Product:
- General Ledger: This type is used for items that do not form part of the inventory, but is included in the list of services rendered by your company. For example. select a general ledger account from the dropdown list. The list contains all the general ledger accounts defined in Greentree. You can enter price details for the selected item.
- Inventory: Select an inventory item from the list. You can specify quantity, price, and discount.
- Non-stock items: These items represent administrative or logistic type of tasks which incur cost, such as postage and freight. Select a non-stock item from the list of non-stock items.
The criteria fields on the form display according to the line item type that you select. You can select multiple line items from different line item types.
Data
Enter this for the selected line type:
- General Ledger: Price and Margin
- Inventory: Quantity, Price, Cost, Discount and Margin
- Non-stock items: Quantity, Price and Discount
Price
This field defaults to the price entered for the inventory, non-stock, or general ledger item. You can update the price.
Line Total
This field is automatically calculated using the line type and data entered. Line Total does not include tax.
