Sticky Notes Migration

Use this system script to convert existing notes on a record type to sticky notes — for example, remove all notes on CRM organisations and create a sticky note for each note. You can keep the original notes intact or to have them removed from the database.

An additional setting checks if the sticky note already exists and if so, not to create another sticky note from the note.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Data Entry

The Data Entry frame relates to the items in the Data Entry menu. Select one of these:

All - Notes for all of the items listed below the Selected option is migrated to sticky notes.
Selected: You select the items for which to convert notes to sticky notes. You can select multiple items.

CRM

The CRM frame relates to the items in the CRM menu. Select one of these:

All - Notes for all of the items listed below the Selected option is migrated to sticky notes.
Selected: You select the items for which to convert notes to sticky notes. You can select multiple items.

SCM

The SCM frame relates to the items in the SCM menu. Select one of these:

All - Notes for all of the items listed below the Selected option is migrated to sticky notes.
Selected: You select the items for which to convert notes to sticky notes. You can select multiple items.

Delete Existing Non Sticky Notes

Select this option to remove the original notes from the database once it is converted to a sticky note.

Don't copy if Sticky Note already exists

Select this option to perform a check to determine if a sticky note already exists for the note. If it exists, then a duplicate sticky note is not created.

Process

This button performs the note to sticky notes conversion for the criteria you selected.

Cancel

Click this button to close the Sticky Notes Migration form without migrating notes to sticky notes.
