Transfer of Funds
Use this form to transfer funds from one bank account to another. If you are using the Foreign Currency module, you can transfer the funds in one currency and receive them in another account in a different currency. You must specify the exchange rates if the currencies differ. You can also use this form to transfer funds from one company to another.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Reference
Enter a unique reference to identify the transfer, up to 20 alphanumeric characters.
Batch number
Greentree Desktop displays an generated batch number to identify the transactions entered during the session.
This field is read only.
Transfer date
Enter the transfer date. The default value is the current date.
Period end
This is the period end date of the transfer date.
From Company/Bank/Amount
Select the company and the bank account from which funds are transferred, and enter the transfer amount in the currency of the bank.
To Company/Bank/Amount
Select the company and the bank account into which the funds are transferred. The amount defaults, in read-only format, to the transfer from amount.
Bank to bank exchange rate
Enter the rate of exchange between the transfer from and transfer to bank accounts. This is taken from the rates set up on the Currency Exchange Rate Maintenance form, using the currency codes associated with each bank account.
Ledger to receiving bank exchange rate
Enter the rate of exchange between the ledger and the transfer to bank account. This is taken from the rates set up on the Currency Exchange Rate Maintenance form, using the currency code for the receiving bank.
Click the Save icon to make the transfer.
