Custom Tab

Use this tab to assign and display supplier tree and user-defined field information for suppliers.

Note: If a supplier tree is Mandatory, you can't save a new supplier masterfile unless you have allocated the supplier to a branch in that tree.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Supplier trees

To assign a supplier to a tree branch, double click the tree to display the tree branches and then select or change the tree branch for the supplier.

Note: You can also assign a supplier to a tree branch using the Supplier Tree Maintenance form. The pre-assigned branch value for the selected supplier displays here.

Supplier fields

Custom fields are set up using the User Field Maintenance form, and defaults to this table, enabling the assignment of a value. You don't need to assign values to user fields.

If the supplier is linked to a CRM organisation, Greentree Desktop synchronises UDF fields. This applies the first time a supplier is linked to a organisation, and whenever UDF values are updated subsequent to that. This logic applies:

Organisation OA and Supplier SA:

For a boolean UDF, OA updates SA.
For a non-boolean UDF, if OA has a value, then OA updates SA.
For non-boolean UDF, if OA has a null value, then SA updates OA.
