System Scripts
System scripts are formsthat run specific actions. Standard Scripts are available to all sites, and they are categorised by module. To view system scripts available for each module, click + to expand the content. To view detail about what a script does, click the script description, and the detail displays in the Details box on the right side of the form.
Site-specific scripts are written for one site, and when the Site Specific option is selected, only scripts written for your site is available for selection.

Do not run a system script if you do not understand its purpose and its consequences. Always contact your Greentree consultant if you are unsure. |
Depending on the nature of the script you are running, you can select the option to output the script content to the form or to a file before clicking the Run script button.
If Greentree Desktop's eXchange module is in use, and script results must be transferred to other eXchange recipients, these changes are updated as messages that can be sent to each recipient using the eXchange Web Service:
- Changes update to the recipient using an eXchange message; or
- A warning message will be sent to the recipient, indicating that the same script must also be run in their system.
