Restart Server Processors

The option to view Server processors status is only available if the user is a queue administrator and the user is logged into the system using a fat client connection.

When you select this view, the Stop all and restart server processors button is available. Click this button to restart all server processors without closing client connections to the database. This allows server queue administration to be performed remotely.

When Stop all and restart server processors runs, all active server processors will be stopped and the restarted without closing client connections. You should only stop and restart server processors if there is a known processor issue at the server, and no-one is available on site to resolve the issue. In addition, the user must make sure there are no queued jobs running or scheduled to run until the server processors have been restarted.

A notification displays to indicate the process is run, and user interaction will be suspended until the server processors successfully start.
