Standing Order Maintenance
The Standing Order Maintenance form is used to set up customer orders that repeat periodically. For example, where a customer places the same order very month, and orders the same items each time. Orders are set up exactly as they would be using the SO Order Entry form, with the exception that frequency and date parameters are added to the order header.
These parameters determine when a standing order should be released into the sales order cycle using the Update Standing Orders process. This process creates real orders based on the standing orders that you select before running the process.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Frequency type
Select either Last day of month, Month, Week, and Year.
The frequency type is used to calculate the Next Action Date for the order.
Frequency
Enter the frequency of the order. This is used with the Frequency Type to calculate the Next Action Date for the order. For example, if the frequency type is Week and the frequency is 2, then Greentree will expect the order to be created once every two weeks.
If the order updates on 15/03/18, Greentree increments the Next Action Date for the standing order to 29/03/18, and makes it available for selection on or after that date next time you run the Update Standing Orders process.
Inactive
Select this option to retain the standing order detail, but no longer want to include the order in the update process.
Start Date
This represents the date you want to start creating real orders based on the standing order.
End Date
This represents the date you want to stop creating real orders based on the standing order.
Next Action Date
This date will be calculated by Greentree Desktop. using the Start Date, Frequency Type, and Frequency. You can edit the date.
The Next Action Date determines whether the standing order is available for selection when you run the Update Standing Orders process.
Intrastat/EC Sales
These fields are enabled, and only display, if the company is subject UK Intrastat and EC Sales reporting.
