Design Warnings

The Report Designer is sensitive to design errors, even though the reporting engine is very forgiving of these errors when generating the report and logically locates the correct information. If a design errors is detected when a report is loaded into the Report Designer, a schedule of warning messages displays at the base of the form.

These warnings are for issues like incorrect reporting method assignments, redundant calculations, or reporting elements which see a non-existent class attribute resulting from a change in database structure at some (previous) stage of product development.

If you are designing custom reports, it is useful to pay attention to such warnings so you can make corrections to the report design.
