Quotes - Point of Sale

You can only select Quotes as an Entry type if the User Preference option Quotation Entry is selected. Entering a quote type transaction enables you to determine the total price for an intended purchase, so the customer can be advised in advance of making any commitment.

Quote transaction lines are entered the same way sales transaction lines are entered. Prices and discounts are determined using the customer, item, location and quantity combinations.

You can copy a quote to a different quote, or copy or convert it into a sale by clicking the Options button while the Quotes Entry type is selected.

The Additional Line Details form of the entry of sale transactions also applies to the entry of quotations.
