Work Centres
For a job that uses Work Centre Plans, this tab is available and has these sub tabs:
- Details tab: Displays details of the job's work centres and each activity within it.
- History tab: Displays details of changes made to the Actual Complete date and the % Complete.
- Fixed Assets tab: Displays details of Fixed Assets whose depreciation updates the job.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Details tab
Select periods
The range is taken from the first period to the current period in the JC Calendar. You can change the period ranges as required, depending on the details you want to view. Once the period range is selected.
Apply
Click this button to return details to the table, showing the Work Centres as they are structured on the Plan. If transactions or estimates have been entered for a Work Centre, you can view the summary of these by Activity Code by expanding the Work Centre line, clicking on the '+' symbol on the first column of the table. Click the '-' symbol to collapse it again.
These details are shown for each Work Centre:

Scheduled Start |
This date indicates when this phase of the job is scheduled to start. This is used for reporting. |
Scheduled Complete |
This date indicates when this phase of the job is scheduled to complete. This is used for reporting. |
Actual Start (display only) |
This date uses the earliest transaction on this Work Centre. The Posting Date on Timesheet transactions is used. |
Actual Complete |
This date indicates completion of this phase of the job. The presence of any date prevents further data entry to this level. This date can be entered/changed only by users with access set up in JC Work Centre Plan Maintenance Completion Permissions. |
% Complete |
This value represents the percentage of completion for this phase. You can enter it on this form, or enter or calculate it as part of the JC Work Centre Review process. A value of 100 prevents further data entry to this level. Only user with the correct permissions can change or enter this value. |

Where transactions or estimates have been entered for a work centre, these details display for each activity code:

Est Cost |
This uses the estimate lines. |
Start Date |
If it falls within the selected From/To period range, this date is included. |
Actual Cost |
The total costs for this activity or work centre. |
Cost % |
The percentage of actual cost or estimated cost. |
Outstanding PO |
The total outstanding purchase orders. |
Est Hours |
The total estimated hours. |
Actual Hours |
The total actual hours. |
Hours % |
The percentage of actual hours estimated hours. |
Est Retail |
The total retail value of estimates. |
Actual Retail |
The total retail value on the actual costs.. |
The last line of the table shows totals for the columns above.
Enter estimates
for either for non-posting levels only or for posting levels only to avoid
totals that appear inaccurate. In the JC Job Maintenance Work Centre
table and the Review Work Centres table, the non-posting level totals
display estimate values entered for the level. If the sub-levels' estimate
values do not add up to the non-posting value, they appear inaccurate.
If the non-posting level has no estimates entered for it, then the posting
levels below it is totalled and shown on the non-posting level.
History tab
This tab displays details of changes made to the Actual Complete date and the % Complete value.
Fixed Assets tab
This tab displays details of Fixed Assets whose depreciation updates the job. It displays only if the Fixed Assets Module Control Post Depn to Job Cost option is selected in the current company.
