You can log into the interface using the menu option Process > Job Cost > MS Project Interface > Wizards. The MS Project Interface menu is available once the sub-module is enabled in UT Company Maintenance.

You can also set up a shortcut outside of Greentree to login. The command line for this is:

<Greentree bin file pathname>\MSP2Greentree.exe

If accessing the interface using a shortcut, the file MSP2Greentree.ini located in the target \bin folder is used to find the server, port, and default user details.

Once the Wizards option is selected or the interface started, the login form displays.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

User Name

If logging in using the Greentree menu, this is set to the currently logged in user and cannot be changed. If logging in using a shortcut, this defaults to the user name in the file MSP2Greentree.ini. Enter your Greentree login name.

Password

Enter the password for the login name. This must be done whether you are logging in using the menu or a shortcut.

Company

If logging in using the Greentree menu, this is set to the current company and cannot be changed. If logging in using a shortcut, select the company for which you want to enable the interface. This list contains the companies the login user has access to, for which the Microsoft Project Interface sub-module is turned on.

Wizard

Select the wizard you want to use: Employee, Estimate, or Service Request.

Click this button to proceed to the selected wizard. At this point, the login details are checked to ensure that the user has sufficient access rights to use the selected wizard. This is determined by their menu security access:

  • Employee :System > Job Cost > JC Employee Maintenance
  • Estimates: Data Entry > Job Cost > Job Maintenance and JC Job Enquiry
  • Service Requests: CRM Service and Support Service Requests

If you do not have sufficient rights to access the selected wizard, an error message displays.
