Installing the Barcode Font

To enable the barcode font required to support the printing of barcodes on Greentree Desktop's standard inventory labels, you must install the font on all Print Queue Servers and on each client PC that will be used to produce labels or edit/customise label forms. Failure to do this will result in the barcode number being printed instead of the image. This procedure outlines how to install custom or new fonts on a workstation.

Installing Fonts

Open the control panel (assuming that the Windows Classic View is being used). In Windows XP this uses Start -> Control Panel. In the Control Panel form, open the Fonts folder. In the Fonts form select File -> Install New Fonts to open the Add Fonts window.

Greentree Desktop's Package Manager will copy the barcode font file into Greentree\bin directory (folder) on the Greentree Server. Select the server\bin folder and all windows font files located in that folder displays in the List of fonts section. Highlight the Free 3 of 9 Regular font and then click OK. The font will install on the machine from which this operation is being run.
