Edit Supercession Links

Use this form to make manual adjustments to supercession links, which may be required if a supercession was processed in error, or new information was made available to you from your supplier after a supercession was processed (for example, the item number was slightly different to that which you created as your new item). If supercession information is edited here, it displays when you view supercession details from the Inventory Item Maintenance - Main form.

This process enables you to update item relationships only - it does not embody any function relating to supercession processing. If a supercession was processed in error, or the details changed, it is your responsibility to amend sales orders, purchase orders, on-hand quantities, and the like. as applicable.

You can press Shift-F2 while on the line to delete it, you can edit the line select a different item, or to add a new line or lines (for example, where the supercession is a one-to-many type, and you want to add an additional item).

Once information is edited here, it will appear when you view the supercession details from the Inventory Item Maintenance - Main form. Any original item relationships that have been changed using this process will no longer be visible when supercession details are viewed, so be careful when you are editing links using this form.

Information The processing that took place when the supercession was originally processed remains unaffected even if you change the links using this form.
