Approve Stocktake Variances
If the stocktake cycle applied to the stocktake requires variance approval, use this form to approve variances (where the expected quantity differs from the counted quantity). Variances that require approval will depend on the variance criteria that is specified for the stocktake cycle, in terms of quantity and/or value variances.
You can access this form from the Count Entry form, or from the Process/Inventory menu.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Stocktake Name
If you access this form from the Count Entry form, this field defaults to the stocktake name. Otherwise, select the stocktake name for which you are approving variances.
Show Items with Variance Only/Show All Items
Select one of these options to determine what displays in the table. If Show All Items is selected, all items in the stocktake will appear in the table, regardless of whether there was a variance between the expected and counted quantity.
Table
The table displays one line for each unique item/location/serial/lot/dimension combination included in the stocktake. System and counted quantities display, based on what was entered into the Count Entry form. To approve a variance amount, click the box in the Approved column on the line.
Click Approve All to approve all variances, or Unapprove All to deselect all variances Click Print Variance to print a variance report from this form. Click Cancel to close the form at any time without saving changes.
Update Now
Click this button to access the Finalise Stocktake Counts form. If you have not approved all variances, only those that are approved will have stocktake adjustment transactions generated for them. You can re-open the Approve Stocktake Variances form to approve variances and update them at a later time.
