Copy Accounts

Use this form to copy existing account structures when you are setting up a new division, branch, cost centre, or company.

Selected account types

Select this option to specify the account type to copy. If you want to select all accounts, do not select this option.

Account types

If you are selecting accounts by type, click this option to select the account types you want to copy.

Across Companies

Select this option to copy the accounts to another company. You can also select the destination company on the form.

Copy Accounts Table

Select the accounts you want to copy. Press the Shift key to select multiple consecutive accounts at once, or press the CTRL key to select multiple individual accounts within the table.

To company

If the Across companies option is selected, select the destination company here.

Copy masterfile trees

Select this option if you also want to copy masterfile tree assignments for each copied account.

Copy transaction trees

Select this option if you also want to copy transaction tree assignments for each account.

Copy masterfile trees

Select this option to copy masterfile user fields associated with copied accounts.

OK

Click this button to close the form.

Clicking OK does not run the process.

To run the copy process, highlight the accounts to copy, right-click, and select one of these options:

Copy To

Select this option to copy the selected accounts to the current company. The table on the form that displays contains detail about the account that was selected to copy. You can edit the segments as required to create the new accounts. Click OK to copy the account or Cancel to close the form.

Copy To Company

Select this option to copy the selected accounts to the To company selected on the form if the Across companies option is selected.

The table on the form that displays contains detail about the account that was selected to copy. For example, two segments can appear on the form because the second-level segment is being copied. You can edit the segments as required to create the new accounts in the destination company.

Click OK to copy or click Cancel to close the form.
