Currency Code Maintenance

Use this form to set up the codes for the foreign currencies you want to assign to masterfiles or during transaction entry. Access this form under the System > Foreign Currency menu.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Currency Code

Enter a code, of up to three alphanumeric characters, to identify the currency — for example, AUD, NZD.

Currency Name

Enter a description, of up to 20 alphanumeric characters, for the currency.

Supports decimal places

Select this if your currency supports decimal places. If selected, the Rounding method is not applicable.

Rounding method

If your currency does not support decimal places, you must select a rounding method:

Round down
Round to closest
Round up

Denomination descriptions

Enter the whole number and decimal descriptions (decimal is only displayed if the currency supports decimal places) you want to print on cheques. For example, dollars and cents.
