Use this tab to display asset trees and user-defined fields, and assign values. For more information about how and why these are set-up, see related topics:

If a fixed asset tree is defined as Mandatory, you can't save a new Fixed Assets masterfile unless you have allocated the asset to a branch in that tree.

You cannot remove an asset from a tree using this form.

User defined trees

To assign an asset to a tree branch, double click the tree name in the table to display associated branches and then select or change the tree branch for the asset. This function may also be performed using Asset Tree Maintenance, in which case the pre-assigned branch value for the selected asset displays here.

User defined fields table

Enter the asset-specific values for custom fields. User-defined fields display for all assets, but you might not always be able to enter values here.
