Refresh Data

Excel only calculates dependant cells when a change is made to a spreadsheet. When functions access information from Greentree, there is no way for Excel to know if the information has changed and must be refreshed.

By way of example, a typical situation may be that a user opens and updates a Profit and Loss report. Upon examining the report, the user decides a correction journal must be created in Greentree Desktop. Once the journal is processed, there is no way for Excel to know that the financial information must be updated.

The Refresh process forces Excel to recalculate every cell in the Workbook. As each cell is calculated, it retrieves the latest financial information from Greentree.
