Login

The Login menu option lets the user open and close the Greentree database from within Excel.

This form displays when the Greentree Add-in starts, but you can control its behaviour by selecting the System Setup option Open Greentree on Startup.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Database Status

Indicates whether the Greentree database specified in the System Setup is either Closed or Open. While the status is closed, the button opposite displays Open, while the status is open the button displays Close.

User Name

This is the user's Greentree login name. The user name is disabled while the Greentree database is open.

Password

This is the user's Greentree login password. The user password is disabled while the Greentree database is open.

Each time a user logs into Greentree, a check is done that the version of the Greentree interface (Greentre4.xla) is compatible with the version of the Greentree database. If not, then an error message displays.
