Templates


Use this form to setup Templates, which define the type and format of documents that EDI sends and receives.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Document Type

Select one of the pre-defined EDI document types from the list.

Greentree to File

Click this button to open the EDI Documents Types form.

Templates for Document Type

Displays existing templates that can be maintained for the selected document type.

Profiles

Select this option to display profile(s) assigned to the selected template. If only one profile is assigned, the EDI Profiles form loads. If more then one profile is assigned, a list of profiles displays.

Template Details

Name

Enter a unique name for the new template — for example, Brown & Watson.

Edit

Click this button to edit the template.

Source

The source is always Greentree. This defines the format of the incoming and outgoing files.

Result

Select a file type which is for the template. File types available are;

  • CSV - Flat file in comma-separated values format
  • FLV - Fixed length variable format
  • EDIFACT - File in segment-element-component format
  • Image - TIFF file for sending by fax or PDF file for email (outgoing files only)
  • Text - Flat file
  • XML - XML file

Document

Envelope

Output Settings

Displays the output settings using the file type selected in result.

Import

Click this button to import a template that is previously defined and exported.

Export

Click this button to export a template. The exported file is saved with the extension .atm.

Delete

Click this button to delete a template. A message displays to warn that the template are deleted if you continue.

Revert

This button is enabled if the name field is modified and not saved. Select this option to undo any changes to the name field.

Save

Click this button to save.

Close

Click this button to close the document type form.
