Sub Items

A Product can consist of none, one or multiple sub-items. A Product that is built from multiple sub-items is referred to as a Kitset.

Use this tab to relate sub-items to Products. This information is captured per sub item:

Cost related: Cost, Price, Profit Margin, Discount
Number of sub items included in Product
Applicable Greentree Financials General Ledger Account

When you select the Save Line button, this sub-item is added to the table of sub-items located at the bottom of the Product Maintenance form.

Products that are available for Orders (the Orders checkbox on the Product Maintenance form, Main tab, is selected) must have Sub-items.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Line Type

You can select these Line Item Types as sub-items of the CRM Product:

General Ledger: This Type is used for items that do not form part of the Inventory, but is included in the list of Services rendered by your company. For example. select a General Ledger Account from the dropdown list. The list contains all the General ledger accounts defined in Greentree Financials. You can enter Price details for the item selected.
Inventory: Select an Inventory Item from the Greentree list of Inventory. Quantity, Price and Discount can be specified.
Non-stock items: These items represent administrative /logistic type of tasks which incur cost, such as Postage and Freight. Select a non-stock item from the Greentree list of non-stock items.

Quantity, Price and Discount can be specified. The criteria fields on the form display according to the Line Item Type selected. Multiple Line items can be selected, from different Line Item Types.

Data

Enter this for the Line Type selected:

General Ledger: Price and Margin
Inventory: Quantity, Price, Cost, Discount and Margin
Non-stock items: Quantity, Price and Discount

Price

This field defaults to the Price entered for the Inventory /Non-stock/General Ledger item during Maintenance in Greentree Financials. You can update the price.

Line Total

This field is automatically calculated using the Line Type and Data entered. Line Total is exclusive of Tax.
