Main Tab

Use this tab to create a Parent/Child relationship for Locations using the Parent field. The Location hierarchy allows you to perform enquiries/reporting for a specific Location, or the Location and sub-locations. You can define the type of Location. Any number of these can be selected:

  • Physical Assets at this level - Physical Assets are allowed at the selected Location.
  • Service & Support Permitted - This location is available for selection on the Support Call/Service Request form.
  • Spares Location - Spares are kept at this Location.
  • Repair Location - Assets are repaired at this Location. The dropdown list of Locations that are available during Asset Repair/Replace is limited to Repair Locations.

A Location can have a specific relationship with Organisations, or none. This is set-up as part of Module Control. If a relationship exists, the Primary Organisation field is available on this tab, allowing you to set-up detail such as Primary contact and Delivery Address.

You can select the default Service Level and Service Person for the Location, and Location status. You can also define your internal Profit Centre and Branch.

Options Reference

Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.

Location Hierarchy

This field displays the existing Location as a Hierarchy. You can view the detail of each Location by selecting the specific branch in the hierarchy displayed.
