Activate File2Greentree
The Inbound Filing feature is activated through the File2Greentree.exe file located in the Greentree Bin directory.
To activate File2Greentree:
- Open the File2Greentree.ini file located in the Greentree Bin directory.
- Update the Hostname with the name of your server.
- Update the Port Number with the number of your SOAP Server Port.
- Update the GT User name
with your Greentree Login User name.
If multiple users use the same computer, you should create a generic user — for example: filing. This enables you to distribute the .ini file using Connection Manager. Greentree takes note of the Windows Logged-in User and files this detail with the File. The File By User and Date and Time Filed displays on the Inbound Filing form > Security tab.
- Ensure that a Web Service Console runsning. The console is the same web Service engine that services the various web E modules and Inbound Emails. If you already have the Console running for any E module, you do not need to configure and start another console.
- Run the File2Greentree.exe file by double clicking the file in the Bin directory.
- The green dog icon appears on the Desktop.
- Right-click the icon and choose to display the Filing Window.
You can now drag and drop files onto the Folder icon to have the file stored in Greentree as an attachment.
You must perform these steps on each client machine that uses this feature.
