Charge Rates
Use the Charge Rates tab to define rates for the resource and use the rates to calculate the amount due when invoices are generated using the Generate Invoices form. Resource Charge Rates apply to Group Bookings, for example an organisation that uses the resource for the Booking Activities specified on the Activities tab of the Bookings Maintenance form.
Options Reference
Each option and field on the form is described below. Mandatory options and fields are highlighted in red.
Effective
Enter the Date on which the Charge Rate becomes effective. This date determines which charge rate to use if a hold is put on the rate in Bookings Management.
Rate per
Enter the Rate that applies for the option selected in the What field. The rate is used to calculate the amount charged on the Invoice.
What
This field is used together with the Rate per x field to calculate the charge amount on the Booking Invoice. You can charge rates per:
- Day - The customer is charged duration x rate, regardless of whether it's weekday or weekend day.
- Weekday - The customer is charged for weekdays only (Monday to Friday). Weekend days, even if booked, are not included in the total amount charged.
Tax Code
Select the Tax Code to be used on the Invoice through the use of the search field.
Rate inc Tax
This field displays the rate inclusive of tax. The tax is calculated using the Tax Code selected x the rate entered in the Rate per field.
GL Account
Select the General Ledger account for the invoice.
Short Code
The Short Code of the general ledger account selected, displays. You can select the general ledger account using the Short Code Search field. If you select this option, the GL Account field updates using the general ledger account selected in the Short Code field.
Description
The description of the selected general ledger account. You can select the general ledger account using the Description Search field. If you select this option, the GL Account field updates using the general ledger account selected in the Description field.
