Updates

All updates to Greentree customers, suppliers, and general ledger accounts using FREE functions include security checking. You must have Add privileges for the type of masterfile or transaction that you are updating. Transactions also require that you have Post privileges.

If you are updating a change to a masterfile, you must have Change privileges. Excel returns errors if you do not have the correct privileges and the update will be aborted for that customer, supplier, general ledger account, or transaction.

Retrievals

All retrievals of Greentree data from customers or general ledger accounts using FREE functions include security checking. You must have Read privileges for the customer or general ledger account that you are retrieving the information from. Excel returns errors to the function cell if you do not have the correct privileges, and no information will be returned for that customer or general ledger account.
