Contact Smart Button
Save
Becomes the default option when you edit a form.
On selecting, the active record is saved. The form remains populated.
CRM /
System / Setup / Auto Codes must be enabled.
On Save of a new record:
- the next available Contact code is assigned to the record
- Alpha defaults to the first 8 characters of the contact name entered
- Status is set to Active
- CONTACT becomes read only
- an approval code may automatically be assigned if an Approval Rule exists for this.
The Code, Alpha
and Status fields are not visible in the browser client but can
be viewed in Greentree Desktop.
Clear
Clears the Contact form ready for a new record to be recalled.
Copy
Copy is available for both active and inactive contacts. It is not available until the Contact has been saved.
Add New
Opens a blank Contact form ready for a new record to be added.
Verify
Available where CRM User Preferences / Privileges / Can Verify Information is selected.
Updates the Verified by user and timestamp details in the metadata section of the zone with the current user and current date.
Changes the Smart button option to Unverify.
Unverify
Available where CRM User Preferences / Privileges / Can Verify Information is selected.
Clears the Verified by user and timestamp details in the metadata section of the zone.
Changes the Smart button option to Verify.
Edit Details
Displays the selected contact details in edit mode.
Visible where the option to edit records is selected in user preferences, otherwise is replaced by View Details.
View Details
Displays the selected contact details in read-only mode.
Visible where the option to edit records is deselected in user preferences, otherwise is replaced by Edit Details.
Delete
Available where the option to delete records is selected in user preferences.
Delete is available for all Status types. It is not available for contacts that are linked to customers and/or resellers.
On selecting, a message is displayed Are you sure you want to delete this Contact?. Selecting Yes deletes the contact and clears the form ready for a new record to be created/recalled.
