M-Powered Invoices > Using M-Powered Invoices > Recording customer payments in your company file
When customer payments are deposited in your business bank account, an email is sent to you on the same day. This email contains two attached files—the Payment Advice and the M‑Powered Payment File. These will assist you in entering and reconciling the customer payments made the previous business day.
The Payment Advice, with the extension ‘.pdf’. This provides information for you to record your customer payments. It lists each payment received and the invoice or statement it relates to. The total amount deposited into your business bank account is also shown.
The M-Powered Payment File, with the extension .myc, is a file that allows you to import the payments directly into your company file using M-Powered Import Assist. This functionality is available for Windows users only.
Additionally, at the end of each month you will receive a monthly statement. This statement summarises the transactions processed for a particular month, and it also serves as a tax invoice for M-Powered Services charges and fees.
