Important Information - PowerPay support and product updates cease 1 July 2017

How does this affect you?

From 1 July 2017, PowerPay users will no longer have access to helpdesk support or ongoing product updates (including compliance release 17/18).

MYOB provided PowerPay compliance updates for the 2016/17 financial year, but will not be providing these for the 2017/18 financial year.

You will need to take alternative steps to ensure the tax rates and thresholds in your Payroll solution remain compliant for the 2017/18 financial year.

What alternative MYOB products are available?

MYOB Essentials with unlimited Payroll is easy online accounting software for just $50 per month, and we’ll provide you with migration services at no additional cost

Clients currently using AccountRight can choose to upgrade to AccountRight Plus at just $92 per month, which includes Payroll functionality.

Can I continue to use PowerPay?

From 1 July 2017, MYOB will no longer provide product updates (compliance updates) or support (help-desk). We strongly recommend you move to an alternative Payroll solution to remain compliant for the 2017/18 financial year.

I have an active support plan - what happens to this?

If you are currently on a monthly support plan, your plan will continue until 1 July 2017. No contract term is applicable and you will be able to cancel at any time.

If you have an annual support plan that extends beyond 1 July 2017, MYOB will credit/refund the portion of this annual amount. We will contact all PowerPay clients where this refund/credit is applicable.

Why is MYOB discontinuing support for PowerPay?

For several years, MYOB has continued to provide the ability for PowerPay to operate on modern operating systems. Unfortunately, the technology of PowerPay is now superseded and, due to its architecture, cannot be guaranteed to work in the future with some of our current product offerings or more modern operating system environments.

We strongly recommend you consider alternative Payroll options that operate on modern platforms. These solutions will also provide the ability to have Payroll functions integrated with business applications that provide streamlined processes and reduce the need for duplication.
